It’s TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK and our KCS schools have a week full of fun ways to let our teachers know how much we appreciate the hard work and effort they always put into helping KCS students succeed. We hope you’ll find time this week to #ThankATeacher!
This Thursday, May 6th, is School Nurse Appreciation Day and KCS is extremely grateful for our School Nurses and our School Nurse Partnership with Cabarrus Health Alliance. Thank you, KCS School Nurses, for helping keep our community healthy and students in school ready to learn!
Schools are still in the process of collecting student devices. The dates for the collection are being communicated from your child’s school and on the school’s website and social media.
May 7th is the last Friday of the school year for meal delivery. Meals can be picked up curbside at all KCS school sites between noon and 1:00 on Fridays, May 14th, 21st, and 28th.
For the week of April 26th through May 2nd, KCS had 8 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The guidance from CHA and DHHS has recommended 34 quarantines.
The Cabarrus Health Alliance hosted a community vaccine clinic for people 16 years and older at A. L. Brown High School last Friday and had more than 200 participants. Thank you, CHA, for continuing to support our community during this pandemic. Your efforts are #KCSEssential!
