A.L. Brown High School's
The PSAT/NMSQT is an optional exam for high-achieving juniors and sophomores. It measures verbal reasoning, critical reading, math problem solving, and writing skills important for success in college. Juniors are encouraged to take the PSAT because it identifies National Merit Scholars for the class of 2021 and enables students who score at the highest levels to qualify for college scholarships. Sophomores can take the PSAT as practice.
The PSAT can also be used as a predictor for SAT scores. It allows students to compare their academic skills with those of other college-bound students.
The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) will be administered at A.L. Brown High School on Saturday, October 19, 2019 @7:30 a.m. Students must answer all of the questions on the PSAT Registration form and pay the $25.00 test fee online to successfully complete the exam registration.Students and parents are also required to complete and submit the PSAT EXAM SECURITY AWARENESS form which can be picked up from Mrs. Pitt's office after registration and payment.
