The very talented students and athletes pictured above are North Carolina state champions. They brought home the state title last month from the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s 2019 Cheerleading Championships. It is the first state championship for the A.L. Brown Coed Cheerleading team.

Last year, the team won the Universal Cheerleaders Association's title and represented North Carolina in national competition.

During the January 2020 Board of Education meeting, the A.L. Brown cheerleaders were honored by the school board for their state championship title.
