  • KCS Kindergarten Registration

    Kannapolis City Schools welcomes you and your child to Kindergarten for 2021-2022. Any child who reaches the age of five years old on or before August 31, 2021 is eligible to register.

  • Remote Learning Day - Thursday, March 18th

    The National Weather Service issued a statement calling for severe weather conditions on Thursday, March 18, 2021, including the possibility of heavy rainfall, hail, strong winds, and tornados in the afternoon. These conditions have the potential for flooding and high winds (gusts over 75 mph), making roads unsafe for our buses, student drivers, staff, and traveling families at dismissal times.

  • KCS Transition to Plan A

    The Kannapolis City Board of Education voted during a Special Meeting on Tuesday, March 16, to return K-12 students to Plan A, in-person instruction, four days a week. Remote-only learning remains an option for all families. Additionally, April 1, 2021, will be a Remote Learning day for all students (K-12) and in-person students will return to campus on April 12, 2021, following Spring Break. In-person instruction days will be Mondays through Thursdays. Fridays will be remote only for all students.

  • Kannapolis City Schools earns statewide recognition for outstanding communication

    The North Carolina School Public Relations Association (NCSPRA) has honored Kannapolis City Schools for excellence in communications. Kannapolis City Schools earned a total of six Blue Ribbon Awards for outstanding and effective communication. NCSPRA presented the awards during a virtual ceremony on February 5, 2021.
