Kannapolis City Schools Announces Assistant Principal Transitions for 2026-2027

Kannapolis City Schools is pleased to announce several Assistant Principal transitions for the 2026-2027 school year. These leadership moves reflect the district’s commitment to developing talented educators and placing experienced leaders where they can best support students, staff, and families.

Kristi Miracco Named Assistant Principal at Kannapolis Middle School 7-8

Ms. Kristi Miracco will transition from her role as Assistant Principal at G.W. Carver Elementary School to Assistant Principal at Kannapolis Middle School 7-8.

Ms. Miracco brings a diverse range of educational experience to her new role. She began her career as a classroom teacher and has since served as a Lead Teacher, MTSS Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. Her student-centered approach and passion for providing intervention and support for all learners make her a valuable addition to the KMS 7-8 team.

Natasha Sifford Named Assistant Principal at G.W. Carver Elementary School

Ms. Natasha Sifford will transition from her role as Assistant Principal at Forest Park Elementary School to Assistant Principal at G.W. Carver Elementary School.

Ms. Sifford began her career as an Exceptional Children’s teacher and has continued her leadership journey as Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Forest Park Elementary School. Her expertise in family engagement, exceptional children’s programs, and restorative practices will be a tremendous asset to the G.W. Carver school community.

Eric Anderson Named Assistant Principal at Forest Park Elementary School

Mr. Eric Anderson will transition from his role as Assistant Principal at A.L. Brown High School to Assistant Principal at Forest Park Elementary School.

Mr. Anderson began his career as an elementary teacher, later gained experience as a middle school teacher, and served as an Assistant Principal in Davidson County before joining A.L. Brown High School. He is dedicated to strengthening instructional practices and building strong, student-centered relationships with families and staff.

“KCS is fortunate to have leaders who are committed to continuous growth and dedicated to serving our students,” said Superintendent Dr. Sara Newell. “We congratulate all of these Assistant Principals on their new roles and know that they will use their areas of expertise to support their new schools and KCS as a whole. KCS is a great place, and we are proud of our staff for their continuous growth.”
