Beginning in 2021-2022, each student at Kannapolis Middle School and A.L. Brown High School will be issued a Chromebook to bring home with them each day for the entirety of the academic year.
Issuing Chromebooks will help ensure equal access to curriculum and instruction even when students cannot be in school while also helping students prepare for the technology-driven world that awaits them post-graduation.
This initiative completely replaces the “Bring Your Own Device” policy that previously existed at both schools. To put this most simply, this means that the Chromebooks are the educational tool that will be used in the classrooms, not a student’s personal computer or cell phone.
