Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS)

  • PBIS is the program that we use at school to support positive behavior. The students are rewarded for their behavior that is expected at school. Students recite a promise each day to be safe, respectful, responsible learners.

    As a Shady Brook student,

    • I promise to be at school on time and to do my very best each day
    • I promise to be Safe
    • I promise to be Responsible
    • I promise to be Respectful
    • I promise to be a Learner

School wide student behavior is monitored and documented using ClassDojo. This allows parents to stay up to date on their child's behavior during the
    school day.

Each quarter, students work hard to earn their way to a PBIS Celebration. They celebrate their positive choices through events like festivals, dances, movie days, outdoor games and so much more.
