Ms. Ingrid Doehle - Principal
Ms. Doehle is the Principal at Shady Brook. She started her teaching career with KCS in 2004. She loves to travel and spend time with friends and family. In her free time she enjoys reading and being outside.
Ms. Doehle earned her Bachelor's degree of Science in Education from Ohio University in 2004. Ms. Doehle started her career teaching 1st and 3rd grade at Forest Park Elementary. She then achieved her Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2012. This is where she began teaching ESL, serving children in kindergarten through 4th grade. It was not long after that Ms. Doehle pursued yet another Master's Degree add-on license from Gardner Webb University, in Curriculum and Administration, and transitioned to the Instructional Coach for three years, before moving to Shady Brook Elementary school as the Assistant Principal in 2017.
One of Ms. Doehle's passions is to guide students by educating about different cultures and accepting others, while providing rigorous curriculum and content. She is dedicated to enthusiastic and dynamic teaching as a means for creating and nurturing a lifelong love of learning in children.

Ms. Michelle Tiesi - Assistant Principal
Ms. Tiesi is the Assistant Principal at Shady Brook. She started her teaching career with KCS in 1997. She loves to garden, travel and spend time with her family. In her free time she enjoys walking, attending her kids’ events and reading.
Ms. Tiesi earned her Bachelor's degree of Science in Education from Oswego State University in 1996. Ms. Tiesi started her career teaching 2nd grade at Shady Brook Elementary. She earned her Academically/Intellectually Gifted Certification in 2001. She then achieved her Master's Degree in Reading, Language and Literacy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2002. The following year she achieved National Board Certification in the area of Generalist/Early Childhood. In 2004 Ms. Tiesi transitioned to the Instructional Coach at Shady Brook Elementary. In 2018 Ms. Tiesi became the Letterland Certified Coach for the district. Ms. Tiesi is pursuing a School Administration add-on license from Gardner Webb University.
One of Ms. Tiesi's goal is to make contributions to the educational environment that impacts all students while expressing the desire to enhance student achievement. Ms. Tiesi believes a great leader is a good listener, treats everyone with respect and has the best interest of the students and school at the forefront of every decisions.
Ms. Tiesi lives in Huntersville with her husband and three children.
