KCS Sees Increases In Student Growth, While Student Proficiency Remains a Challenge

KCS once again experienced positives and some clear challenges in the release of North Carolina’s school accountability report for the 2023-24 school year. The accountability report summarizes students’ achievement and growth on their end-of-grade assessments (grades 3-8) and end-of-course assessments and other measures (grades 9-12). From these results, schools are assigned a designation of a school performance grade, a designation for growth, and, depending on the combination of the grade and growth, whether a school is designated as low-performing by the state.

New Principals to Lead Enhanced Structure at Kannapolis Middle School

Kannapolis City Schools is excited to announce the selection of two new principals to lead Kannapolis Middle School.  The newly structured leadership model will feature a principal and assistant principal in the 6th grade building and continue to feature a principal and two assistant principals in the 7th/8th grade building.
