North Carolina is releasing its statewide school report card for the 2012-2013 school year on Tuesday, January 28. Kannapolis City Schools will share the Report Card with parents and the community. The Report Card tells parents how their schools rated in the areas of student achievement, safety, class size, teacher qualifications, teacher turnover, access to technology, and other indicators of school quality.

Most of the information included in the State Report Card has been released previously because it comes from the 2012-2013 school year. However, the State Report Card is an excellent tool because it pulls a variety of information together into one place. That allows parents and the public to get a more complete picture of school performance.

Each KCS school will send home copies of its State Report Card with students during the week of January 28 – 31. The report cards are available in English and Spanish. In addition, the State Report Card results for all KCS schools (and all NC schools) are available by clicking here.
