School board members Millie Hall and Danita Rickard officially began new 4-year terms on June 9th. Retired Superior Court Judge Clarence Horton administered the Oath of Office. Horton is a graduate of A.L. Brown High School.

Millie Hall is beginning her ninth term on the Kannapolis City Board of Education. She took office in 1978 and was part of the first elected school board in KCS history. Prior to 1978, school board members were appointed by County Commissioners.

Danita Rickard is beginning her sixth term on the board. She first took office in 1990. Currently, she is serving as Vice Chair of the Kannapolis City Board of Education.
