Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) students from Kannapolis Middle School made the holidays brighter for dozens of KCS elementary students. The middle school students visited Fred L. Wilson, Jackson Park, and Woodrow Wilson Elementary schools to spend time with the elementary children and deliver gifts. During their time together, the students read books, played games, made s’mores, and designed Christmas stockings. At the end of the visit, the KMS students gave the elementary students presents. All the gifts were donated and wrapped by AIG and Honors students from throughout Kannapolis City Schools. This event is an annual tradition sponsored by the AIG program at Kannapolis Middle School. It follows the AIG students’ study of Charles Dickens’ book, A Christmas Carol, and is designed to give the students an opportunity to give back to others.
