Students and teachers from Kannapolis City Schools were part of the Topping Out ceremony for the City of Kannapolis’ new City Hall on December 11th. The students and art teachers from all KCS schools designed and painted panels for the construction fence that will surround the City Hall’s construction site. “This is the people’s building where the business of the people of Kannapolis will be done. And what better way to celebrate this building than with art from our youngest citizens – the students,” said Mayor Darrell Hinnant.

The student artwork will remain displayed around the construction site while work on the new City Hall building is completed. The Kannapolis City Hall is expected to open in the Fall of 2015.
