Kannapolis City Schools hosted several dozen Realtors on Tuesday, February 10th. The session gave the Realtors information about Kannapolis City Schools so they could share it with families interested in buying homes in the area. Several KCS parents and students told their personal stories about Kannapolis City Schools. Joanie Reeder of Cooperative Christian Ministry told the Realtors how important it was for her to live in the Kannapolis School District. She said it was a priority when she and her family were looking for a home. She also said that her children are getting an outstanding education in KCS. Kristina Cook of the Mary Beth Ballantine State Farm Insurance Agency explained that she had not intended to live within the KCS district. In fact, she had intentionally looked elsewhere to buy a house. However, when other home sales fell through, her family ended up buying a house in the Kannapolis district. She told the Realtors that she and her family have been extremely impressed with Kannapolis City Schools and would not even consider leaving the district.

The Realtors also heard from Samuel Jijon Bacillio and Arnoluck Prachith who are students at A.L. Brown High School. Both students shared their stories of outstanding teachers and extraordinary opportunities they have had during their time in Kannapolis City Schools.

The visiting Realtors donated dozens of school supplies, which will be distributed to KCS students. KCS is extremely grateful for the donations and was honored to host the Realtors.
