Honors and Academically Gifted students from across Kannapolis City Schools came together on December 6th to help spread holiday cheer. More than 200 people gathered at Kannapolis Middle School to make holiday cards and wrap presents for children in need.

The event was organized by the AIG (Academically and Intellectually Gifted) program at Kannapolis Middle School. It included Honors and AIG students from all KCS schools. Students and families brought gifts, which were wrapped during the event. In addition to wrapping paper, KMS provided materials to make holiday cards. Students made cards that will be given to residents at the Big Elm Nursing Home in Kannapolis. Students and families also wrapped presents that were donated. All the gifts will be given to children in need at KCS elementary schools.

This was the third year of the Kannapolis City Schools’ AIG Holiday Party. During the event, more than 200 gifts were donated, and more than 100 cards were made for the residents of the Big Elm Nursing Home. The cards and presents will be delivered prior to Christmas.
