The Kannapolis Board of Education was proud to honor outstanding representatives from Forest Park Elementary School at its December meeting.

We are very grateful to the Mary Beth Burgess State Farm Insurance Agency for donating $100 to the Forest Park library in appreciation of the honorees.

  • Noelle Anthony:   Noelle Anthony is an outstanding third grade student at Forest Park Elementary School. Her calm and kind demeanor is inviting to her classmates, and they know they can count on her to be a good friend. Noelle constantly goes above and beyond to exceed her teachers’ expectations, and she always looks for ways to learn even more and enrich her own learning. Noelle excels inside and outside of the classroom. She loves to read, play soccer and is quite an artist. Noelle’s love for learning is a breath of fresh air, and her joy for life is contagious.

  • Tucker Farabee:  Tucker Farabee is an amazing fourth grade student at Forest Park Elementary School. He is an all-around outstanding citizen that truly cares about others. Tucker regularly seeks out special needs children on the playground and takes time to make them feel loved and appreciated even though he could be playing with his peers. Tucker also goes the extra mile with his classwork and always strives for excellence and seeks an academic challenge. He takes part in multiple extra-curricular activities making friends and gaining valuable knowledge everywhere he goes.

  • Amanda Iaia:  Amanda Iaia is an enthusiastic Forest Park volunteer that is always willing to pitch in to help wherever she is needed. Not only is Amanda a wonderful volunteer, substitute, and PTO member, but she also sends in things when needed and makes gifts and treats for the staff. She is such a pleasant and positive person and a great extension of the Forest Park family. The school is a better place because of Amanda’s generosity.

  • Tony Menius:  Tony Menius is a wonderful Custodian at Forest Park. He is dedicated to his work and always has a smile on his face. Tony is willing to do anything that is requested of him, and he looks for things that need to be done around the school. The students love Tony and can’t wait to wave hello or give him a quick high five in the hallways. His care and thoughtfulness extend to students and staff alike. Tony is patient and kind to all staff and never hesitates to lend a helping hand. He has the biggest heart and treats everyone at Forest Park like family.

  • Dean Fink:  Dean Fink is an outstanding third grade teacher at Forest Park. He is truly dedicated to his teaching job and loves the school and his students. Dean often comes in at 5:30 AM and is still there at 4:00 PM planning for his classroom. He sets high expectations for his students but always creates an environment that is fun and inviting. Dean is willing to share his knowledge and ideas with other teachers, and he’s a true professional that’s willing to do whatever is necessary to make Forest Park the best.

In honor all of these outstanding representatives, the Mary Beth Ballantine Burgess State Farm Insurance Agency donated $100 to Forest Park to buy books for the school’s media center. We thank the Mary Beth Burgess State Farm Insurance Agency for its wonderful generosity.
