What’s super about public schools? Students at A.L. Brown High School had wonderful answers to that question. They created a video that showcased public schools, and the video was honored by the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA). The video, called "Where Possibilities Are Endless," was produced by A.L. Brown students and captured a second place award in the state. It also earned the school a $2,000 prize.


The A.L. Brown video was submitted as part of the NCSBA’s statewide video contest: “What’s Super About Public Schools?”  Submitted videos had to be produced by students and were judged by independent media and education professionals. The videos were evaluated based on content clarity, creativity, production quality, and how memorable they were for viewers.


The second place award was presented to Tyler Buckwell, A.L. Brown High School’s Digital Media teacher, during the NCSBA’s annual conference in Greensboro. The winning video is below:
