A.L. Brown High School held its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2016 on Saturday, June 11. A total of 307 students marched in the commencement ceremony. There were 26 seniors that graduated Summa Cum Laude, 36 that graduated Magna Cum Laude, and 32 seniors that graduated Cum Laude.

Altogether, the Class of 2016 earned more than $3 million in scholarships and has two graduates that will attend U.S. Military Academies. Jessika Stanback will attend the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and Sandon McCoy will attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Senior Class President, Tyler Johnson, and Valedictorian, Anna Lentz, addressed the graduates. The keynote speaker was A.L. Brown teacher and 1997 A.L. Brown graduate, Cory Stirewalt. Stirewalt was selected by the graduates of the Class of 2016 to be their commencement speaker.

The graduation ceremony was held in the A.L. Brown Memorial Stadium.
